The Drager PSS 3000 is one of the lightest self contained breathing apparatus carrying system to date. We have applied the same advanced technology and design philosophy which was derived from our class leading range of short and extended duration professional breathing apparatus. The extremely durable carrying system features our new and innovative ultra lightweight, high strength carbon composite carrying frame which exhibits outstanding thermal, impact and chemical resistance properties.

Suitable for use in all conditions easy and quick to don, the lightweight harness has been specially designed to retain its form over a wide range of environmental temperatures. Utilising materials that have good chemical and abrasion resistance and also meeting the heat and flame requirements of EN137:2006 (Type 2).

By utilising the state-of-the-art pressure mapping technology, we have developed a carrying system which follows the natural contours of the body and therefore provides improved stability and reduced back strain, stress and fatigue. The contoured carrying harness provides maximum comfort at both the shoulders and the waist, but optimizes load distribution comfortably and securely, in line with the body’s centre of gravity.

Despite its compact design and low weight, Chemical 2F is characterized by outstanding durability, chemical resistance and increased ingress protection. The thought-out design with a smooth surface allows easy decontamination by shower or even full immersion. The unique automatic closing system prevents unwanted contamination while the filters are being changed. The smart Flow Control system maintains the airflow on the constant level regardless filter clogging or low battery charge. Audio visual alarm indicates when the battery charge and/or filter replacement is required. Adjustable airflow from 120 up to 235 lpm is available during the whole shift no matter of the type of the filter thanks to optional Heavy Duty battery.

Use with 3M™ Respirators 5000 Series or 3M™ Cartridges 6000 Series with 3M™ Adapter 502, 3M™ Facepieces 6000 Series, or 3M™ Facepieces 7000 Series with a bayonet-style filter/cartridge connection or 3M™ Scott™ AV-3000 HT and AV-3000 SureSeal facepieces with 3M™ Scott™ AV-632 Bayonet Adapter.

When properly fitted, use in a variety of applications including welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, soldering, and exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with full facepieces. Full facepieces must be quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. Do not use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH).

The 3M™ Particulate Filter 2091, P100 helps provide respiratory protection against exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA. The filter is effective for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces, or 50 times PEL with quantitatively fit tested full facepieces. This filter helps protect against a wide range of oil and non-oil based particulate contaminants. 3M’s Advanced Electret Media (AEM) provides a comfortable lightweight, easy-breathing combination. The 2091 is commonly used for welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring and soldering. Inventory needs and training requirements of safety equipment are reduced because this filter works for many different applications. The filter is both flame and water resistant. Industries where this filter is commonly used include agriculture, construction, general manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and primary metals.

The filter works with a wide range of facepieces, including 3M™ Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000 and FF-400 Series. If used with 3M™ Adapter 502, the filter may also be used with 3M™ Respirator 5000 Series or 3M™ Cartridge 6000 Series. If used with the 3M™ Scott™ AV-632 Bayonet Adapter, the filter may be used with the 3M™ Scott™ AV-3000 HT and AV-3000 SureSeal facepieces. The filter is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles. The filter has been assigned the color code “magenta” in the NIOSH system. Passing NIOSH’s P-series test criteria, the 2091 P100 filter provides at least 99.97 percent filter efficiency against particles.
